Pelin Kilic is a photographer and urban planner based in Ankara, Turkey.

Working with photography for over fifteen years, her practice focuses primarily on music, live performance, and urban life. Her relationship with photography began with analog cameras, which she worked with for many years before moving into digital photography. This experience continues to influence the way she observes and captures moments today.

With an academic background in City and Regional Planning and Urban Design, her photographic approach is shaped by an interest in space, perception, interaction, and collective experience. These ideas extend into her visual practice, particularly in the way she explores the relationship between people, their surroundings, and shared spaces.

In recent years, her work has increasingly focused on music and concert photography. She has photographed musicians across a wide range of genres, including jazz, indie, punk, hip-hop, and electronic music, and has worked at music festivals across Türkiye and Europe. Rather than documenting only the performance itself, she is interested in the energy, atmosphere, movement, gestures, and fleeting moments that define the experience of live music.

Alongside her concert photography, she has developed photographic work focusing specifically on women on stage, exploring presence, expression, and the visibility of women within contemporary music culture.

She is also a co-founder of Girls to the Front, an Ankara-based photography collective that brings together women and queer photographers working around music and supports greater visibility and representation within the music scene.
